Old maid card game origin12/20/2023 ![]() I've found images for the blister cards for all except "The Monkees". These card decks could be purchased either shrink-wrapped or on blister card rack releases. I have found no evidence of any other releases, so that may have been it for the playing card style releases. Notice the stock numbers are consecutive. I've been able to document three licensed playing card releases, "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." (stock #490, released 1965), "The Green Hornet" (stock #491, released 1966) and "The Monkees" (stock #492, released 1966). Their playing card releases prompted a reply in the pickup thread that became this thread, so let's start there. While most of their products aren't truly trading cards, many non-sport collectors still collect them as an offshoot type of collectible. Many of the card games were available for years and/or re-released over time. They released a few traditional trading card sets such as "The Lone Ranger", some playing card decks with photos such as "The Green Hornet", "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." and "The Monkees", and many, many card game decks with licensed properties. I've been researching Ed-U-Cards off and on over the last couple of months. I originally posted some of this info in the pickup thread, but it doesn't really belong there so I'm moving it here.
